Appeal for public assistance at Marsden, QLD

Police are seeking public assistance after the robbery with violence of a taxi driver at Marsden on Saturday morning, Queensland Police say.

On September 3, around 2am a 23-year old male taxi driver picked up four males from Blue Gum Drive at Marsden who requested to be driven to Heidi Street, Marsden.

Once at Heidi Street the front seat passenger slapped the taxi driver to the face while another of the men stole the taxi driver’s wallet. A back seat passenger grabbed the taxi driver from behind and made further demands for money from the taxi driver.

The males fled with takings from the taxi and were last seen running towards Browns Plains Road.

The front seat passenger is described as aged between 15 to 16 years, Caucasian, 166 cm tall with a skinny build, short hair and was wearing a red baseball cap, red coloured t-shirt and unknown coloured pants.
