Appeal to identify car thieving trio

Investigators from Melbourne West Tasking Team are hoping to identify three men after a car was stolen from a private carpark in Melbourne's CBD earlier this year.

It's understood four men entered the locked Collins Street carpark about 5.30pm on Thursday, 1 July.

One man, believed to be a locksmith, gained access to a 2010 white Honda Odyssey and left it with the three men.

The trio then took off in the vehicle and exited the carpark.

Police have released images of three men they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The first man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, about 200cm tall with a medium build and short dark hair.

He was wearing a black leather jacket, dark blue denim jeans, a black t-shirt and white runners.

The second man is perceived to be European in appearance, about 195cm tall with a thin build and long black hair.

He was wearing a black and grey jacket, light blue denim jeans and white Adidas runners.

The third man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall with a solid build and shaved light hair.

He was wearing a black puffer jacket with a black shirt underneath, black pants, black boots, a white Yankees baseball cap and a red bandana face covering.

The car remains outstanding at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.

Anyone who recognises the men or with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report at www.crimestoppervic.com.au.
