APPOINTMENT OF NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Consolidated Tin Mines Limited (ASX: CSD) or the ('Company') is pleased to announce the appointment of highly-experienced public Company Director Teresa Dyson to its Board, effective today.

Ms Dyson is currently a Non-Executive Director at Seven West Media, Power and Water Corporation, Genex Power, Energy Super and Energy Queensland; Board Member of the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation and the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) and Member of the Takeovers Panel.

She holds a law degree from the University of Queensland and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and was Queensland Woman Lawyer of the Year in 2011.

Welcoming Ms Dyson as Non-Executive Director, Chairman Morris Iemma said her appointment represented another step in the ongoing restructure and renewal of the CSD Board and Management.

"We are delighted to have a Company Director and Executive of Teresa's calibre joining the Board at this crucial stage of the Company's transformation," Mr Iemma said today.

"Teresa is a highly-credentialed and well-respected Company Director and Chair, with a broad range of experience spanning the resources sector; financial and transport services and infrastructure projects.

"The depth of legal, strategic, audit and risk expertise she brings to the Company will be invaluable, as we ramp-up production and maximise our pipeline of exploration opportunities in and around Mr Garnet, over the coming months."
