APRA releases Monthly Authorised Deposit-taking Institution Statistics for November 2020

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) has released its Monthly Authorised Deposit-taking Institution Statistics (MADIS) publication for November 2020.

Copies of the November 2020 monthly publication are available on the APRA website at: Monthly Authorised Deposit-taking Institution Statistical publication.

In September 2020 APRA consulted with industry on a proposal to determine non-confidential and publish Australian-issued Negotiable Certificates of Deposit (NCDs) sourced from Reporting Standard ARS 720.6 ABS/RBA Securities on Issue at an entity level (see consultation on non-confidentiality for Key ADI metrics). There was industry support for the proposal to publish an aggregate series comprising short-term and long-term NCDs issued in Australia (in Australian dollars and the Australian dollar equivalent of foreign currency). APRA will determine the data non-confidential and add this data series into Table 3 and the back series (starting from March 2019) for the December 2020 release of MADIS, which will be published on 29 January 2021.
