Ararat Rural City Council is advising residents that from 2 February through to mid-March, households may receive a phone call from independent market research agency National Field Services, inviting them to take part in Council's annual Community Satisfaction Survey.
Around 400 interviews will be conducted with a representative sample of residents, in line with similar surveys being undertaken across Victorian councils, to help assess Council's performance across a range of services and identify opportunities to improve how services are delivered to the community.
Ararat Rural City Council CEO, Dr Tim Harrison, said the survey was an important way for the organisation to listen carefully to local voices, and to track progress over time. "We know our community has high expectations of Council, and this survey is one of the key tools we use to understand how we are going, where we are meeting expectations, and where we need to lift," Dr Harrison said.
"I encourage anyone who receives a call to take part, because your feedback helps guide our decision making, supports better long-term planning, and ensures we keep our focus on delivering public value for Ararat Rural City."
All survey responses are confidential, and no identifying details or phone numbers are provided to the research company by Council or reported back to Council in the results.
Residents are reminded that the survey team will never ask for money, banking information, or other private details, and anyone with questions about the survey is encouraged to contact Council's Customer Service team on (03)5355 0200.
