Are you a grants guru? – East Gippsland

Grant funding can make a community project, business idea or event great … and finding the next grant opportunity just got easier!

East Gippsland Shire Council has partnered with Grant Guru to provide the ‘East Gippsland Grant Finder’. The new website is available to all local businesses, community groups, not-for-profits and individuals free of charge to help easily find and track grants and turn your great ideas into reality.

The site provides a comprehensive list of grant and funding opportunities available from many sources, including local, state and federal government, corporate and philanthropic. The site provides tips and advice on grant writing and gives the ability to receive email alerts for new grants and save favourites.

Mayor Cr Mendy Urie said the new ‘East Gippsland Grant Finder’ is a huge step in supporting the community, assisting them to find grants relevant to their interests.

“With drought, bushfire and the pandemic, there has been an overwhelming amount of new grants available to our community, not to mention the existing grants that were also available. The new grant finder supports and simplifies the process of identifying grants relevant to your interests. It is a free service provided by Council to support the many groups, individuals, businesses and not-for-profits in East Gippsland,” Cr Urie said.

“I encourage everyone to visit the East Gippsland Grant Guru portal – www.eastgippsland.grantguru.com.au – or the East Gippsland Shire Council website and find out for yourself.”
