Armadale attempted stealing - woman injured

Armadale Detectives are investigating an incident that occurred in Armadale on Sunday, 23 October 2022 which resulted in a woman being injured.

Just before 3pm, a woman returned to her home on Streich Avenue when a white Ford Territory pulled up next to her.

As the victim spoke to the female driver, the driver grabbed the strap of the victim's handbag and drove off. The victim was unable to let go of her handbag as it was across her body and she was dragged by the moving vehicle for about five metres before the driver let go of the handbag strap.

The 48-year-old victim required medical treatment for fractures to her back and severe bruising to her left hip and leg. She currently requires a wheelchair and walker to get around.

The female driver is described as being 35 to 40 years old, with an olive complexion, a slim build, and long brown hair.

A male passenger in the vehicle is described as being 35 to 40 years old, with an olive complexion, a medium build, and short brown hair.
