Armadale Detectives have charged a man with several serious offences following an investigation into an alleged home invasion in Armadale on Sunday, 31 August 2025.
About 11.15am, it will be alleged; the man entered a home and stole property before he was confronted by the 39-year-old female victim.
It will be further alleged; the man threatened the victim before striking her across the head with a glass bottle, and causing a deep laceration to her arm. As the victim was recovering from the strike, the man forcibly removed a gold necklace from her neck before indecently assaulting her.
The victim escaped the home and alerted neighbours, who immediately called police. The man fled the scene prior to police arrival.
A significant number of police resources were allocated to the investigation and the man was later identified, located, and arrested in Armadale on 4 September 2025.
A 33-year-old man from Bentley has been charged with:
- 1 x Aggravated home burglary and commit
- 1 x Aggravated armed robbery
- 1 x Deprivation of liberty
- 1 x Aggravated indecent assault in the course of an aggravated home burglary
The man was remanded in custody and is next due to appear in Armadale Magistrates Court on 20 October 2025.
