Armed robberies appeal at Toowoomba

Detectives have released CCTV of a man who may be able to assist with investigations following three armed robberies at bottle shops across Toowoomba last month.

Just before 8.30pm on Saturday, May 6, a man armed with a knife has entered a Richmond Drive store in Wilsonton, threatening the 20-year-old male attendant and demanding cash.

The man filled his backpack with a quantity of alcohol and money before leaving on foot.

Later that night, May 6, at approximately 9.30pm, the same man, accompanied by a female, approached an Anzac Avenue drive-through store in Harristown where he threatened a 27-year-old male staff member with a knife.

The attendant complied, and the man left the scene with a sum of cash.

On Thursday, May 8, just before 7.30pm, three people, including an armed man believed to be involved in the previous incidents, entered a James Street bottle shop in Toowoomba, stealing cash and alcohol.

No one was physically injured during the robberies.

Police have released CCTV of the incidents, and are appealing to anyone who recognises the man or his accomplices to come forward.

The man is believed to be aged in his 20s, approximately 170cm tall with tanned complexion and a proportionate build.

Investigations are continuing.
