Armed robbery and wounding, Logan Central

Police have charged two males following investigations into an alleged armed robbery at Logan Central this morning (Thursday February 2).

Police will allege, just before 1am a 43-year-old man was parked outside a business on Wembley Road when he was approached by a 16-year-old Logan Central boy who produced a knife and demanded car keys, wallet and watch from the 43-year-old man.

The boy allegedly stabbed the man causing non-life threatening injuries to his abdomen and elbow, then fled in a car.

Police arrived a short time later and the 43-year-old was transported to hospital for treatment.

Police allegedly located the stolen vehicle travelling south on the Pacific Motorway, intercepted the vehicle and arrested the driver, a 16-year-old Logan Central boy, and a 15-year-old Edens Landing Boy and seized a knife.

The 16-year-old Logan Central boy was charged with one count armed robbery, wounding and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He was denied police bail and is due to face the Beenleigh Childrens Court this month.

The 15-year-old Edens Landing Boy was charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He was denied police bail and is due to appear in the Beenleigh Childrens Court this month.
