Armed robbery appeal, Nerang

Gold Coast detectives are appealing for witnesses following the armed robbery of a convenience store in Nerang on December 27.

At around 7.30pm a man entered the store on Beltana Way and produced a long black knife, demanding cash and cigarettes.

The 63-year-old female attendant handed over a small sum of money and cigarettes.

The man then fled the store on foot.

The woman was not physically injured.

The man was wearing a black balaclava on his face, a long-sleeved black top and black pants with a black cap.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have further information to contact police.
