Armed robbery appeal, Park Avenue

Police have released CCTV as part of ongoing investigations into the armed robbery of a service station at Park Avenue on Saturday.

At around 3.30pm on August 28, a man ran inside the business on Yaamba Road, approached the front counter and produced a firearm.

The man threatened the male store attendant, demanding money.

The attendant complied, placing a sum of cash in the man's army green carry bag.

The man then fled the premises along Boland Street before turning onto Denning Road and entering a vehicle.

The man is described as Aboriginal in appearance, aged in his early twenties and around 183cm tall. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black bandana, black gloves and black pants with running shoes.

Detectives are urging anyone who recognises the man in the vision to come forward.
