Armed robbery charges in Bridgeman Downs and Spring Hill, QLD

Two people have been charged following investigations into two armed robberies in Brisbane overnight, including a burger store in Bridgeman Downs, Queensland Police say.

At around 8.20pm, it will be alleged a man walked into a burger store on the corner of Becketts Road and Saturn Crescent and threatened two female attendants with a knife, while demanding money.

The staff complied with the demands and the man left with a sum of cash.

It will further be alleged, at around 9.45pm, a man matching a similar description walked into a bottle shop on Leichardt Street, Spring Hill armed with a knife.

The man proceeded to make demands for money from the male attendant who complied, and the man left the address, allegedly with a sum of cash.

At around 3am, a vehicle was intercepted by police at Kedron and three men were taken into custody.

A 20-year-old Wavell Heights man and a 21-year-old Kedron man have both been charged with one count of armed robbery and are due to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court today.
