Armed robbery Incidents - Charges

Regional Investigations Unit detectives have charged a man in relation to three armed robbery incidents which occurred on Saturday 24 September 2022 and yesterday, Sunday 25 September 2022, in Victoria Park, Karawara and South Perth.
Incident One – Attempted Armed Robbery in Victoria Park
About 10:40pm on Saturday, 24 September 2022, police were called to a service station on Albany Highway, Victoria Park, after a man entered the store and approached the counter armed with a metal bar. It will be alleged the man demanded cash, however left the premises with nothing.
Incident Two – Armed Robbery in Karawara
About 11:20pm on Saturday, 24 September 2022, police were called to a fast-food restaurant on Manning Road, Karawara, after a man entered the restaurant and approached the counter armed with a metal bar. It will be alleged the man left the store with an amount of cash.
Incident Three – Armed Robbery in South Perth
About 5:30pm yesterday, Sunday 25 September 2022, police were called to a fast-food restaurant on Canning Highway, South Perth, after a man entered the restaurant and approached the counter armed with a metal bar. It will be alleged the man left the store with an amount of cash.
About 12:20am today, Monday 26 September 2022, a 36-year-old Swan View man was located and arrested at St John of God Midland Public Hospital. Upon being released from hospital he was taken to the Perth Watch House where he was charged with one count of 'Attempted Armed Robbery' and two counts of 'Armed Robbery'. He was refused bail and is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
