Army pilot's mission to serve most vulnerable leads her to Vanderbilt

U.S. Army combat veteran Mandi Mizner has devoted her life to serving her country and others. Following tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, she is continuing her mission of service through the advanced practice nursing program at Vanderbilt School of Nursing. She also is a member of the inaugural class of Bass Military Scholars.

In this video, Mizner discusses the injury she sustained in combat; why she became a MedEvac helicopter pilot; and how her military service has inspired a mission to help a specific demographic within the United States.
