Arson Squad detectives have arrested a 66 year old woman as a result of their extensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding a house fire.
About 6:50pm on Friday 11 November 2016 Police and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to the house fire on Vista Parade in Ballajura. On arrival they located three people (a 79 year old man, a 66 year old woman and a 45 year old man) with minor burns and smoke inhalation, WA Police say.
Arson Squad detectives attended and commenced an investigation into the cause of the fire and it will be alleged the 66 year old woman attempted to drug the other occupants prior to lighting the fire.
The woman of Ballajura has been charged with two counts of Attempt to Unlawfully Kill and she is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, Thursday 8 December 2016.
