Two people will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today as a result of an ongoing investigation by Joondalup Detectives in relation to burglary and stolen vehicle incidents across the North West Metropolitan district between May and July 2017.
Some of the suburbs that the incidents occurred in are Merriwa, Butler, Carramar, Clarkson, Ocean Reef, Quinns Rocks, Balcatta and North Perth, WA Police say.
At around 11:20am yesterday a 29 year old man and a 34 year old woman, both of Ridgewood, were arrested by Detectives at a shopping centre located on Collier Road in Morley.
It is alleged when apprehended the man was carrying a small stick of explosives and the woman was carrying a small amount of Cannabis as well as a loaded syringe of Methylamphetamine.
The 29 year old man has been charged with:-
•10 counts of Stealing;
•7 counts of Steal Motor Vehicle;
•2 counts of Unlawful Possession;
•1 count of Reckless Driving to Escape Pursuit;
•1 count of Fail to Stop (aggravated);
•1 count of Threats; and
•1 counts of Criminal Damage.
The 34 year old woman has been charged with:-
•Possess Methylamphetamine; and
•Possess Cannabis.
Inquiries are ongoing.
