Joondalup Detectives have charged a 28 year old man as a result of their ongoing investigation into an incident that occurred on Sunday, 22 January 2017.
It will be alleged the man entered a home in Malleefowl Way and assaulted a 21 year old man who was an occupant of the home, WA Police say.
The victim received serious injuries to his hand and back.
The 28 year old man from Gosnells has been charged with:-
•Aggravated Burglary and Commit;
•Aggravated Armed Assault with Intent to Rob;
•Grievous Bodily Harm and
•Act or Omission causing Bodily Harm.
He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, 30 April 2017.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone who can assist in this investigation is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
