Arrests - Drug Offences - Darwin

Strike Force Trident members arrested three people for drug offences yesterday morning.

The trio were travelling together when police conducted a traffic apprehension on their vehicle, Northern Territory Police say.

Police conducted a search of the vehicle which located approximately 196 grams of cannabis, a tin of cannabis plant material, and a clip seal bag of approximately 0.3 grams of methamphetamine.

A 44-year-old male was arrested and conveyed to Darwin Watch House. He was charged with possess trafficable quantity of schedule 2 dangerous drug public place.

A 41-year-old female was released and issued with a notice to appear for possess less than trafficable quantity of schedule 1 dangerous drug public place and outstanding property related offending.

The 47-year-old male driver was issued with a notice to appear for driving unlicensed.
