Detectives from the Caloundra Criminal Investigation Branch are appealing for public assistance following a vehicle fire in Beerwah on June 29.
Initial information indicates around 4.10pm, a stolen Toyota Hilux was abandoned in bushland near Roys Road and the Bruce Highway, before being set on fire.
The vehicle was stolen from a Bilenda Close property on June 24.
An unknown male wearing black clothing was seen running from the vehicle.
Police are urging anyone with information about the man's movements or dashcam from Roys Road and Bruce Highway around 4.15pm on June 29, to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
