Arson of vehicle and break and enter, Berserker

Police have charged two men following investigations into an alleged break and enter and vehicle arson at a mail centre in Berserker on Saturday February 25.

It will be alleged around 7am, the Musgrave Street business was broken into by a group of people.

They allegedly stole a large quantity of parcels, mail and a vehicle from the premises before fleeing the scene.

The vehicle was allegedly located burn out later that night around 11.40pm at Parkhurst.

Police located and charged a 34-year-old Allenstown man on Sunday night (February 26).

The man has been charged with one count of enter premises and is next due to appear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court on March 27.

A 47-year-old North Rockhampton man was arrested yesterday (February 28) and was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter premises and unrelated drug charges.

He is due to appear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court today (March 1).

Investigations are continuing.
