The Art Matters program for Stage 5 Students is coming to Hawkesbury Regional Gallery this September. On Thursday 4 and Friday 5 September, government school students in years 9 and 10 can gain art making skills in an intensive artist-led workshop.
Developed by the Arts Unit of the NSW Department of Education, Art Matters is a two-day program bringing together students from NSW Government schools with practicing artists. This year, students will be working with Blue Mountains artist Freedom Wilson on Stencil Making and Screen Printing.
Art Matters is a unique and exciting learning opportunity for students in the Hawkesbury to build creative skills and connect with other visual art students in the area. The two-day program will count towards the student's school attendance.
