Arts and cultural festivals back in action in regional Australia

The Festivals Australia program brings regional communities together. It supports participation and engagement with the arts, and fosters relationship development and collaboration across the sector.

Each year the Festivals Australia program provides approximately $1.3 million through two funding rounds. Applicants are independently assessed on specific criteria that consider quality, accessibility, partnership opportunities and value for money of the project.

This round will deliver over $645,000 towards 15 projects that celebrate diverse artforms and immersive experiences.

Projects are varied in nature and range from immersive arts installations, dance, music and creative workshops. The high quality projects chosen through this program support regional engagement and cultivate employment and skill development opportunities across regional and remote areas.

The program fosters greater appreciation for the arts sector by supporting the talents and strengths of Australian artists and creative workers.
