Ashurst Boosts FinTech Ties with France Partnership

Global law firm Ashurst is partnering with France FinTech, a non-profit association that aims to promote the fintech sector in France and globally, reflecting Ashurst's continuing support for financial innovation.

Founded in 2015, France FinTech brings together French companies in Fintech, Insurtech, and Regtech with the potential to become European or global leaders, and contributes to their development through numerous initiatives, events, publications, and networking opportunities. It acts as the representative interlocutor for public authorities, regulators, and the broader ecosystem.

This partnership will enable Ashurst to deliver additional value to fintech companies shaping the future of financial services in Europe. Ashurst's teams will provide France FinTech members with practical, cross-disciplinary expertise based on its experience in banking and financial regulation, structuring refinancing solutions for digitised financings, and the digital economy (IT/intellectual property, data, cybersecurity, cloud, AI).

"We are delighted, together with my partners Hubert Blanc-Jouvan (financial regulation) and Nicolas Quoy (digital economy), to become a partner of France FinTech. This partnership reflects our desire to remain at the forefront of designing solutions to address the ever-evolving strategic challenges that fintech companies face today," said Agathe Motte, a structured finance partner in Paris. "By strengthening dialogue between market participants, institutions, and practitioners, we hope to further promote an ecosystem of innovation that supports the emergence of new growth models." She added that Ashurst's extensive experience of advising fintechs, financial institutions, crypto platforms, and investors in France and across Europe on their growth, European expansion plans, compliance and refinancing challenges enables Ashurst to provide comprehensive support to France FinTech members.

"France FinTech is pleased to count Ashurst among its partners, a recognised player in regulation, structured finance, and the digital economy. Its presence at our side can only benefit our entrepreneurs and our ecosystem," commented Alain Clot, President of France FinTech.
