Ashurst Guides £120M Solar Financing for Bluefield Fund

Global law firm Ashurst has advised NatWest and Santander UK as lenders on a £120 million financing for Bluefield Solar Income Fund to fund the construction of a 249MW portfolio of solar PV projects in the UK.

The solar portfolio consists of four projects all backed by a CfD: Bluestone, Low Horton, Burnt House and Broadway House Farm which are located in Northeast England. The assets are expected to be fully operational during the course of 2027 and 2028.

The Ashurst team was led by partner Lindsey Bouchara and included partners Nicholas Hilder and Kerion Ball, senior associates Sam Newman and Jack Jones, associates Ciaran Rutherfurd, Nicholas Bernardo, Amelia Gordon, Brakemi Ebi-Ogbomah, Emily Lynch and trainee Jack Emery.
