Ashurst, Perkins Coie Advise Debenhams on Nasty Gal Sale

Global law firm Ashurst Perkins Coie has advised Debenhams Group on the sale of the Nasty Gal brand, including the global intellectual property rights, to White Space Group New York, LLC, operating as WSG Brands, for a total cash consideration of US$16 million.

The sale aligns with Debenhams Group's strategy of transitioning to a marketplace-led business model that is capital-lite.

The Ashurst Perkins Coie team was led by partner Sara Hamzawi, supported by associate Rosie Swanborough. Partner David Futter, Denver-based partner Peter J. Kinsella and associate John Schoppert advised on IP and technology matters.
