Assault and unlawful use of a motor vehicle, Kuraby

Police are investigating after a ride-share driver was assaulted and his car was stolen in Kuraby overnight.

Around 9.10pm, the driver collected four male passengers from the corner of Kingston Road and Smith Road at Woodridge.

When the group arrived at their destination in Besline Street, Kuraby the passengers assaulted the driver, dragged him from the vehicle and continued to assault him, then fled in his car.

The driver received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Investigations are continuing.
