Assault Appeal, Manunda

Cairns police have released vision as part of a public appeal for information in relation to an assault in Manunda on 13 March.

Around 5.40pm, a 61-year-old man was at the bus stop at English Street and Hoare Street with an unknown male, when they became involved in a verbal altercation.

The male then punched the man in the face and briefly stepped on the bus before he fled on foot.

The 61-year-old man was taken to Cairns Hospital with facial injuries.

Police are appealing to anyone who recognises the man in the vision, or anyone with information or vision that may assist investigations, to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
