A 21-year-old Mermaid Waters man has been charged following the alleged assault of a police officer at Broadbeach overnight, June 25.
Police were called to a Gold Coast Highway venue just after 9pm to reports a person had fallen through a window.
Upon arrival, three people were located outside the venue with a number of injuries, and a crime scene was declared.
It will be alleged the 21-year-old Mermaid Waters man continued attempting to enter the crime scene before assaulting an officer.
He was arrested and has been charged with one count each of obstruct police officer and assault police officer.
He is due to appear at Southport Magistrates Court on July 10.
