Attempted robbery - Manning Park

Fremantle Detectives are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred in Hamilton Hill on Tuesday 20 October 2020.

Between 7:00am and 7:30am the victim, a man in his 40s, parked his car in the Azelia Ley Homestead car park, Manning Park. As he began to walk in the park a man riding a light coloured scooter and wearing a blue face mask attempted to steal his phone.

The pair struggled and the victim fell to the ground. The victim returned to his vehicle and the man rode off south, through the park.

The victim received minor injuries as a result of the incident.

Detectives would like anyone who witnessed the incident, who may have dash-cam or mobile phone footage of the scooter riding around the Hamilton Hill area around of 5:00am – 8:00am, or who has any information, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au
