MidCoast Council invites all food businesses to a free Food Safety seminar on Tuesday 24 November 2026, 2pm to 5pm at Forster Civic Centre.
Whether you own a food business or work in the food industry, you're invited to this fun and informative event on proper food handling, storage, and hygiene.
It's a great refresher for experienced food handlers and a fantastic start for your new staff - from chefs, cooks, kitchen hands and wait staff.
All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance, helping ensure staff are compliant with the Standards Code 3.2.2A.
You'll hear from a line-up of expert presenters with over 50 years' combined experience in food safety, including a former chef.
Council supports local food businesses through seminars, training videos, newsletters, and one-on-one advice. This helps local businesses stay up to date with food safety requirements and equipping staff with the latest food safety knowledge. This support has helped businesses work towards an excellent 'Scores on Doors' rating, which is widely recognised in the food industry and great for building customer confidence.
Safe food handling benefits everyone. It protects customers and encourages repeat business in the region.
