The Gas Market Review recommended fundamental reforms to improve the domestic gas market and ensure natural gas supply for energy users.
We conducted the review jointly with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
We are inviting interested stakeholders to provide feedback on the design and implementation of the agreed reforms including a domestic gas reservation policy and other market reforms. We are also seeking feedback on transitional arrangements and how they would operate within your business.
We will consult further on detailed design during 2026, with the aim of starting a gas reservation scheme in 2027.
