Australian Women’s 9s Squad

Australian Women’s 9s Coach Brad Donald has named plenty of strike power in the Australian Women’s 9s Squad to take the field for their matches at Bankwest Stadium on October 18 and 19.

Eleven of the 17 players picked are in the running to back up from this year’s Grand Final.

Australia is one of four women’s teams vying for the World Cup title, alongside New Zealand, England and Papua New Guinea.

“We’ve picked a really talented side and I’m looking forward to seeing how everyone progresses following the NRL women’s competition,” Mr Donald said.

“This is a new tournament, our competition will be strong, and there’s a World Cup on the line in front of our home crowd.

“Our aim is to lift the Cup and I’d encourage as many fans as possible to pack out Bankwest Stadium and cheer our Aussies on.”
