AUSTRALIA'S GLASS INDUSTRY URGES FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO LOOK

THROUGH GLASS TO ACHIEVE ITS CARBON EMISSION GOALS

Australia's glass and window industry has strongly urged the Federal Government to accept proposed upgraded energy provisions covering the use of windows, as part of its carbon emission targets.

The Australian Glass & Window Association (AGWA)** has called on the Federal Government's Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) to adopt without delay the proposed "NCC (National Construction Code) 2022 energy provisions"*, which prioritise increased occupant comfort through good design and recognition of the positive role of higher performing window and glass products in commercial and residential buildings.
