The annual awards recognise dedication to pro bono and community legal work in WA.

Regional law practitioner Kate Fry won the Legal Aid Panel Member award for her extensive work representing clients across the Mid West, Pilbara and the Kimberley.

The Not-For-Profit award went to community legal centre Redgum Justice for its work on a ground-breaking program supporting imprisoned women who are victims of family and domestic violence.

Attorney General Dr Tony Buti presented the State's highest law awards to the winners last night at the Law Society of Western Australia's 2025 Gala Awards Evening.

As stated by Attorney General Dr Tony Buti:

"On behalf of the Cook Labor Government, I congratulate this year's lawyers and groups who volunteered considerable time to support those in need.

"Dr Rob Guthrie has continued his pro bono work in retirement, providing his expertise to a range of community organisations serving underprivileged clients.

"Redgum Justice has delivered in Perth the Leave Safe, Stay Safe program that's giving women prisoners the best chance of avoiding family and domestic violence when released.

"It was a privilege to present these awards, and I thank all individuals and organisations for their exceptional work and outstanding contribution to our State."
