ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC:
Weather Situation: Moist airmass and a surface trough will generate showers and thunderstorms, possibly severe in parts of the Simpson district, including Alice Springs, this afternoon.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours.
Locations which may be affected include Alice Springs, Jervois and Simpson District east of Finke.
