About 6.50pm, a collision occurred between a white Hyundai Getz hatchback travelling west on Reid Highway, and an e-scooter that was travelling south to cross Reid Highway.
The rider of the e-scooter, a man in his 40s, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.
The 18-year-old male driver of the Hyundai was not injured.
