Bass Coast celebrates IDAHOBIT Day 2023

Today, we came together to commemorate IDAHOBIT Day - International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism, and Transphobia - a day that marks the progress we have made in LGBTQIA+ equality while recognising the challenges that lie ahead.

This day serves as a powerful reminder to foster a world that is free from discrimination, embracing love and diversity in all its forms.

At the Wonthaggi Civic Centre we raised the Progress Rainbow Flag, proudly waving it high to symbolise our commitment to LGBTQIA+ rights and equality.

The flag will be displayed throughout the day, reminding everyone of our collective responsibility to create a more inclusive society. The Wonthaggi Union Community Arts Centre will also be illuminated tonight with vibrant rainbow colours, from 5pm to midnight.
