Major Crash officers are investigating a serious crash that occurred in Bassendean at approximately 4:35pm yesterday, Tuesday 13 June 2017.
A black and silver Kawasaki motorcycle was travelling east on Guildford Road and near the intersection of Thompson Road saw a man crossing the road. The rider of the motorcycle braked heavily but hit the pedestrian, with both of them falling onto the road, WA Police say.
The 79 year old pedestrian from Bassendean received serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 24 year old man also from Bassendean received minor injuries.
Major Crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the crash or the Kawasaki or pedestrian prior to the crash.
