Baxter Man's Small Win Turns Out to Be $1.6M

The Lott

Saturday lotto is proudly played across Australia under the brands Gold Lotto, Lotto, TattsLotto and X Lotto, bringing winning moments to players nationwide.

A Baxter man received the surprise of a lifetime this morning when he discovered his TattsLotto ticket had delivered far more than the $1,600 win he first thought, with us confirming his $1.6 million prize.

The Mornington Peninsula resident held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4683, drawn Saturday 6 June 2026.

The winning man was surprised to receive an early morning call from us and questioned what the call was about.

"Wow! I won more than I thought!" he laughed.

"That's fantastic. I was confused to why you were calling me. I had a quick look at it over the weekend, and I thought I'd won $1,600 - obviously not!

"This win will be good for everyone. It will help a lot of people around me.

"I've got to process this news before I can celebrate but maybe a nice dinner will be on the cards.

"Thanks for the phone call!"

His winning 25-game QuickPick was purchased at Baxter Newsagency, Shop 6, 96 Baxter-Tooradin Road, Baxter.
