Bay Trail Upgrades

Recently, we've completed safety upgrades on six sections of the Bay Trail in Black Rock, Sandringham and Brighton. Aligning with Goal 2 of the Integrated Transport Strategy 2018-2028, these works improve visibility and trail safety to help reduce collision risk, and enhance the user experience for pedestrians and cyclists.

The completed works included demolishing, realigning and reconstructing sections of the Bay Trail, modifications and reinstatement of some existing retaining walls, new line marking, updated signage, tree pruning (B13), the installation of speed humps (B12 and B13), new coloured road surfacing (B11, B12 and B13), and minor traffic safety improvements at all locations.
