Bayside Harmony Day

Bayside Council will celebrate Harmony Day by paying tribute to the many cultures that make up its diverse community.

Children throughout the LGA will be treated to a special story time session at their local library where they will hear their favourite stories read in different languages such as Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Bengali and Polish.

At the Alf Kay Eastlakes Community Centre a Harmony Day celebration will showcase our cultural diversity through music and dance.

There will be Didgeridoo playing, African Drumming, Chinese and Indonesian Dancing, and a performance by the Bayside Seniors Dance That Walk Group.

There will also be an opportunity to learn about the services offered by various community organisations.
