Bayside Library Hosts Poppy Craft Event

As part of the 2026 Unseen & Unsung Exhibition, Bayside Libraries will host a series of engaging activities for children and adults, bringing to life the powerful stories of local women whose vital contributions during World War I and World War II often went unrecognised.

These women, nurses, knitters, cooks, coders and telegraphists, played an essential role on the home front, and this program celebrates their legacy through creativity and community connection.

Activity 1 is a Children's Poppy Craft.

The activity will run after school and include making various styles of craft poppies that participants can take home or contribute to the exhibition. The crafting sessions are drop in only from 4 - 5 pm. Registration is not required.
