From 1 November 2025, the Australian Government introduced important changes to aged care services. A new program, called Support at Home, has replaced the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and Home Care Packages. The aim of the Support at Home is to make care safer, fairer and more respectful, with older people at the heart of every decision. The new system also includes updated funding arrangements, which may involve client contributions based on individual situations.
At Bayside City Council, our priority is you. We remain dedicated to delivering the same high-quality care and support services you know and trust with Bayside Care and Support. Our goal is to ensure older residents feel cared for, informed, and supported; helping you and your loved ones live safely and comfortably in your own home for as long as possible.
Over the past month, we have been talking and responding to your queries, listening to concerns, and guiding you through the changes. We want every client to fully understand what the new program means for your personal circumstances and feel confident about your care and support options.
