The service is seeking dedicated individuals from 18 years of age who are passionate about community service, health and fitness.
A career as a Firefighter in the Northern Territory is both rewarding and challenging, and no two days are the same. As a Firefighter, you'll be on the frontline, working with a close-knit team to serve and protect the community by:
Fighting fires to save lives and propertyResponding to vehicle crashes, HAZMAT incidents and other emergenciesEducating the community about fire safety and preparednessImplementing fire mitigation and prevention strategiesInspecting buildings to ensure compliance and fire safety.

To help budding firies prepare to be in peak physical condition, the NTFRS is holding 'Come and Try' days in Darwin and Alice Springs, where people can get a feel for the Physical Aptitude Test (PAT), which forms part of the recruitment process:
