Bedford traffic crash

Major Crash Officers are investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred last night, Wednesday 29 April 2021 on Grand Promenade in Bedford.

Around 7:45pm, police observed a stolen Honda Accord at a service station on Great Eastern Highway in Belmont. The vehicle was stolen in Carlisle on Tuesday 27 April 2021.

The vehicle has attempted to evade police and a pursuit occurred for a short period of time, before being terminated by police.

The vehicle was then sighted a short time later by another police vehicle in Bayswater. It initially stopped for police, however rammed a police vehicle (minor damage) before driving away at speed.

Police later come across the vehicle in Bedford, after it crashed into a tree. A man in his 30s was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with injuries and is assisting police with inquiries.
