BeerFest Launceston

Sarah Courtney,Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Events

BeerFest Launceston is gearing up to host visitors and locals for another unique New Year Celebration at Launceston's Royal Park featuring premium craft beers, ciders, cocktails, and wines, complemented by local gourmet street food.

Beerfest Launceston is another example of our State's unique and bespoke event sector which provides a boost to the State's economy and enhances our reputation as a premier hospitality destination.

The Tasmanian Liberal Government is proud to support BeerFest Launceston through the Event Tasmania Regional Event Recovery Fund until 2025 and the Event Tasmania Major Event Partnerships Program in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

The event will include two sessions during the 31 January 2021: A family fun-day session from 11:30am to 3:30 pm and a fireworks evening session beginning at 5pm.

Families can enjoy kid-friendly activities and entertainment during the day including puppet shows, workshops and live music, while the evening session will feature live comedy, roving performances, live music, masterclasses and two sets of fireworks displays, one at 9:30pm and one at midnight.

I thank the organisers for their work to comply with Tasmania's Safe Events and Activities Framework and remind patrons to use the Check-in Tas app, wear a face mask, sanitise your hands and practice social distancing.
