Bayside Council is hosting a beginner's bike maintenance and repair workshop on Friday 3 October at Garnet Jackson Reserve in Botany.
This workshop covers the essentials skills beginners need to keep their bikes in top condition and out of landfill.
Attendees need to bring their bike and the course covers bicycle safety checks, bike care toolkits, basic cleaning and lubrication, removing wheels and tyres, patching and changing an inner tube, and checking brake wear and function.
Attendees need to be at least 14 years old and those under 16 years must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Spots are limited and registration is essential.
This project is a NSW Environment Protection Authority Waste & Sustainable Materials Strategy initiative, funded from the waste levy.
