Police and emergency workers are currently at the scene of a fatal crash in Benalla this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the Midland Highway between Racecourse Road and Gardner Road about 12.30pm after reports of a car into a tree.
The female, who was the sole occupant, died as a result of the crash
The Midland Highway is currently blocked between Racecourse Road and Gardner Road with detours in place.
