All roads lead to Benalla, as it gets set to host the HD HR Holden Nationals from June 9 to 11, 2023.

The National event hosted by the HD HR Holden Club of Victoria will be held in Benalla across the King's Birthday June long weekend, with participants arriving from all over Australia.

More than 300 HD and HR Holden motoring club participants will visit Benalla over the three-days, equating to increased accommodation bookings, economic spend and investment in Benalla and district.

HD HR Holden Club of Victoria President, Craig Pearson, is excited to bring the event to Benalla.

"We have been working closely with Benalla Rural City Council to prepare for the Nationals to organise a memorable, historic and enjoyable event," Mr Pearson said.

More than 130 HD and HR Holdens have registered to be part of the Benalla program.

Participants will arrive for a 'Meet and Greet' on Friday 9 June, with cars on display for a Show N Shine event from 9am to 3pm on Saturday 10 June in the Fawckner Drive carpark.

"On Sunday morning, the vehicles will be parked at the Benalla Aerodrome, allowing participants to visit the Aviation Museum, before cruising through town and on to the inspiring Silo Art Trail – finishing at Winton Raceway for parade laps of the circuit around lunch time."

Benalla Rural City Council Mayor Cr Bernie Hearn said Council was proud to support the Nationals event and welcoming new visitors to the region.

"We're thrilled to partner with the HD HR Holden Club of Victoria to be able to bring this event to Benalla to showcase an amazing piece of Australian history with a car display and parade laps of classic HD HR Holden vehicles dating from 1965 to 1967," Cr Hearn said.

"We welcome all participants, officials and their families to our town. I would encourage everyone while they're here over the long weekend to take advantage of what Benalla Rural City has to offer and to visit our beautiful Botanical Gardens, Art Gallery, street and silo art, and our cafes and restaurants."

"New visitors and Benalla residents are encouraged to come down to the Show N Shine in Fawckner Drive on Saturday 10 June to soak up the nostalgic atmosphere and experience the classic vehicle display," Cr Hearn said.
